Life of knights

In this activity we will learn about the different classes of medieval society and the characters who were part of them. We will focus on the lives of knights through legends and the memory of historical characters.

The medieval environment of Besalú will become the ideal setting for the development of the activity.

We will use medieval costumes to explain in detail the knight's costume and the accessories of medieval battles.

Finally, each student will make their own shield.

Educational objectives

• To introduce narratives, legends, stories and traditional songs from the local area and Catalonia.
• Stimulate imagination and creativity.
• Sharing and reconstructing stories that artistic and cultural manifestations reveal to us.
• Analyze medieval society based on the forms of social organization, comparing it with the current situation.

Educational level

Kindergarten and Primary (Initial and Middle Cycle).

Ars didactica will provide:

• Fieldwork dossier.
• Material to make our shield.

The student will bring:

• Pencil, eraser and sharpener.
• Colored pencils (green and red are essential).
• Folder to hold the dossier.
