The town and the Medieval court
Content
Kings, princesses, knights, maidens, troubadours, minstrels, jesters... We will get to know the different monuments and corners of Besalú, following in the footsteps of the characters of the court and the medieval town.
We will visit the Romanesque bridge, the Jewish Quarter, the synagogue, the Monastery of Sant Pere, the Royal Curia and the Plaza Mayor.
Educational objectives
- Analyze medieval society based on the forms of social organization, comparing it with the current situation.
- Learn about the historical and artistic heritage of the town of Besalú.
- Experience the spaces of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.
- To introduce narratives, legends, stories and traditional songs from the local area and Catalonia.
- Stimulate imagination and creativity.
- Sharing and reconstructing stories that artistic and cultural manifestations reveal to us.

- Fieldwork dossier.
The student will bring:
- Pencil, eraser and sharpener.
- Colored pencils (green and red are essential).
- Folder to hold the dossier.
